About Faye
Faye Adams is a freelance writer who has published four books of poetry, a children's book and one book of poetry and nonfiction. She also writes fiction, flash fiction and memoirs.
She has published work in newspapers and magazines, such as IDEALS and The Ozarks Mountaineer. She has won many poetry awards and last year won the Arkansas Writer's Conference Prose Award for fiction.
Faye is currently co-editing the sixth annual anthology of poetry and nonfiction Emerald Fields, being published by the De Soto chapter of Missouri State Poetry Society, and just finished her next book of poetry and nonfiction, Laughing With the Moon. She plans to release three new books by December 2009, including a book of poetry and nonfiction, an inspirational book and the next childrens book.
Faye has helped conduct poetry workshops in classrooms and for writers groups. She is the Contest Coordinator for the MSPS Poetry Chapter, On the Edge and serves as an Advisory Board Member of Missouri State Poetry Society. Faye serves on the Board of Directors, as Contest Committee Chariman, and as the Missouri Writers' Guild representative for the St. Louis Writers Guild. In the past, she has served Writers' Society of Jefferson County as Secretary (2006) and Poetry Moderator (2005 & 2006).
Faye has won several awards for poetry, fiction and nonfiction and has published in newspapers, magazines, poetry journals and anthologies. She and her husband, Billy Adams, were awarded honorary lifetime memberships in Missouri State Poetry Society.
